Wallrock R300 Liner is a new specialist product which gives great results on problem surfaces such as rough and damaged plaster, cracked rendering, wood panelling or plasterboard. One roll covers 25 square meters – each roll is 25 metres long and 100 cm wide.

Why would you use it?

Because it’s 1.2 mm thick it covers tired and rough surfaces. The backing of Wallrock R300 Liner is made of dense, mesh-like, which helps to cover rough surfaces.
As it’s made of the same materials as Wallrock Thermal Liner it will help with getting your room warmer slightly quicker. It can help with the lighter cases of mould formations.
As with all Wallrock products it is very strong, durable and it allows the walls to breathe. No PVC or fibreglass.
Paste-the-wall product - no soaking required - just put the adhesive paste straight onto the wall.
You can emulsion paint or use ‘paste-the-wall’ (non-woven) wallpaper over Wallrock R300.
Wallrock R300 Liner is fire rated.

Manufacturer’s Paste Consumption Guide

Use Thermal Liner Adhesive to hang Wallrock R300 Liner. 10 to 12.5 kg of the adhesive per roll.

NB. The adhesive consumption indication is for guidance only for walls in good condition. Damaged or textured walls and surfaces that are not vertical, more paste may be required (up to 12.5kg per roll)

	Needing to redecorate my hall stairs and landing and having stripped the walls back to plaster that was cracked and generally "tired" I had two choices. Replaster which seemed an enormous job or Wallrock R300 which I have never used before and then overhanging with Wallrock Fibreliner and emulsion painting. I found the R300 fairly easy to use but you do need to get used to it and try not to rush. Be very generous with the Thermal Liner Adhesive especially around skirting boards and external reveals. I used a roller and a small brush for edges etc. Unlike wallpaper that you can position and then "slide" into position you cannot easily do that with the R300 and it really helps if you have a helper especially with any long drops. I found trimming quite easy using a straight edge and stanley knife but do change the blade regularly. I used decorators caulk for any gaps and emulsioned all seams with white emulsion prior to overhanging the fibreliner.I'm about 1/2 way through my project and can honestly say that its looking really good. The R300 and Adhesive aren't cheap but a lot cheaper than replastering. One final word though make sure that everything is well covered as the adhesive tends to a bit messy. 	I found that Wallrock R300 Liner did a pretty good job of covering very rough painted plaster on both walls and ceilings - hiding a multitude of sins. The finished surface is virtually flat but I did not expect the paper to cover every indentation as some were quite deep. The paper is very easy to hang if a little tough to cut when in position. I would however advise potential users that the special adhesive dries much faster than wallpaper paste so you have to work quite quickly.	Paula S - West Yorkshire 19/01/11 at 01:31 PM
